Jim Hughes has extensive experience in Training and Organizational Development beginning in 1995.  He has worked with large and small, as well as public and private sector organizations.  Jim leads with a Heart-Mind approach and prides himself on connecting with his customers by developing trust and providing individualized solutions with best practice organizational development methodologies.  Skilled in the following: Facilitation, Meeting Management, Communication Skills, Leadership/Management Development, Conflict Management, Negotiations, Strategic Planning, Competency Mapping and Documentation, Building High Performing Teams and Organizational Communication.  In addition to NM ISPI Jim has held leadership positions in ASTD NM and the Albuquerque Quality Network..


shelby greenShelby Green, Vice President of Membership

Shelby Green, a native New Mexican, is the 2014 Vice President of Membership. She has been with NM ISPI since 2001 and during that time has filled a variety of board positions including President, VP of Finance, and VP of Publications. She was acknowledged for her service to NM ISPI by being designated an Honorary Lifetime Chapter Member in 2007. In addition, she participated on the workshop committees that were awarded ISPI Chapters of Merit Outstanding Educational Programs in 2005 and again in 2006.

Shelby began her career at Sandia National Laboratories as an intern in 2001. During this time, she was part of the team that received the Sandia National Laboratories’ Gold President’s Quality Award and NM ISPI Award of Excellence for Outstanding Performance Technology Intervention, both in 2001. Then in January 2002, Shelby was hired as a Computer Information Specialist for Los Alamos National Laboratory. In 2003, Shelby rejoined Sandia as an Instructional Designer in the Technical and Compliance Training Department. During her time at Sandia, Shelby has worked on a variety of efforts including developing technical educational programs, conducting leadership development and mentoring sessions, analyzing and improving business processes, leading Sandia’s new employee program, and facilitating sessions on team building, conflict resolution, strategic planning, etc. Shelby is currently in the Talent Management and Employee Engagement Department and serves as Sandia’s Talent Planner and Mentoring and Coaching Lead.

Shelby graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Learning and Instructional Technology in May 2002. Her undergraduate degree, also from the University of New Mexico, is in Business and Communication.
